We grow "Japanese Anomones" which flower in late summer and autumn
Garden Use:
Provide elegance and soft colours to the border.
Wildlife Interest:
Great for hover flies and bees.
Cut Flower Use:
I've not tried them.
Cultivation:
Japanese Anemones are spreading and deep-rooted plants so plan carefully where you want them. They thrive in semi- to light shade as well as sunny spots. Slow to establish but tough and hardy.
Pests and Diseases:
None noticed.
About 2ft / 60cm tall with soft pink flowers with a yellow boss in late summer and autumn.
